You are probably already in possession of a lot of beauty tips. Whether gotten from older relatives or friends, you have already had a set of tips in mind when you are going about your daily activities. 1. Stop washing your hair every day. You may have a head full of dry hair, but have been washing your hair every day since your mother told you to. Your mother might be wrong. Washing your hair every day is only appropriate if you have very thin, very greasy hair. When you wash your hair every day, you strip your hair of natural oils it needs to stay shiny and silky. Then you end up putting more styling products on it that have ingredients that further dry your hair. Stop washing your hair every day and you will find that you need less styling products, as the oils in your hair have a mild taming effect.
2. Stop eating a low-fat diet. Your body is meant to digest fats. You, however, probably try to avoid fats at all costs, which is a mistake. Even your brain is designed to work with omega 3 fatty acids. Don’t run out and eat all the bacon you can find, however; stick to healthy fats such as those found in egg yolks and salmon. Eat real butter instead of the chemically created margarine.
3. Sleep in. You are not lazy if you get a full night’s rest. In fact, you are allowing your body to heal itself and to burn fat. Sleep is linked to many negative health conditions, so it is important that you get the sleep you need.
4. Use natural items to cleanse and tone your skin. You probably have a number of beauty products in your bathroom; many of them contain chemicals you can’t even pronounce. Every now and then, try some natural products instead. Natural products cost less and have no ill side effects. Try honey and aspirin masks, as well as creating a scrub for your skin of lemon and sugar. Use coconut oil to moisturize your skin and you will see a big difference.
5. Cut down on your stress. A lot of people will tell you that stress is normal; it is. However, the way you cope with stress is what makes the difference. Take a look at any president on his first day of office and on his last day of office if you want to see how stress can cause premature aging and wrinkles. Find a way to handle your stress, and you will look better for it.
